Mar Pacific helps customers gain the edge
with speed and agility.

At Mar Pacific, we understand the need for rapid, accurate service to get your cargo FSIS cleared and ready for market, optimizing your cash flow and ensuring a reliable supply chain for your end customers.

Our team works hard to receive, tally and sort your inventory for presentation to USDA / FSIS with next-business day service. Mar Pacific notifies USDA of your inspection as soon as all cargo and paperwork are on hand, with inspections typically being completed the following business day.

FSIS inspectors will typically start by checking paperwork and recording product lot detail into the USDA/FSIS reporting system. Even when paperwork and lot detail is correct, some items may be selected at random by the FSIS system for lab inspection. In such an event, Mar Pacific will provide support for specimen collection in our USDA approved clean room, at which point the USDA inspector will handle lab submissions and reporting.

We know that your cargo is valuable; Mar Pacific keeps a selection of suitable poly packaging materials – along with vacuum pack and sealing equipment – to reseal any opened samples. Such packaging will be marked sample and reported to our customer for further instruction. Most customers will establish a standard operating procedure for such situations.

In the case that goods must be disposed of, Mar Pacific will denature product (application of a green dye to ensure it can not be resold) and organize pick-up by a processing partner specialized in the re-disposition or disposal of protein products.

Mar Pacific is an appointment-based warehouse facility with a complete food defense program in place (meaning yard access is limited to appointment holders). You or your assigned clearance partner – often a customs broker or freight forwarder – can schedule an appointment for delivery of your ocean container, air freight container or palletized goods.

An even easier option: simply use Mar Pacific’s port drayage or airport pickup service and we can handle all the details.

Mar Pacific offers a 24-hour grace period for pick-up of cleared product within our standard inspection services. Beyond that you have an option for on-site storage on a daily, weekly or monthly basis depending on your specific needs.

Mar Pacific can furthermore provide omnichannel order fulfillment services or outbound trucking to send your goods by the truckload, pallet, case or even by the piece depending on the needs or your particular business model.
